1979 Chevy Camaro

When I got it
Always wanted a 79 camaro
This one definitely needed work
Hasn’t run in a couple years
Body not in the best conditoin
But came with lots of new parts for a good deal
Took off the side fender to replace with a new one and for better engine access
Mocking up some new parts
Old top end of engine
Tube and hose nightmare
Old 2 barrel carb on a 305
Still a mess
Cut out and replaced transmission coolant lines
Literally cut them out
Picked up a new manifold for cheap
Got some exhaust parts because it only came with headers
Testing a new air filter

These valve covers were from JC Penny way back when and I later learned are pretty collectible
Took off manifold and valve covers
New intake manifold
Getting ready to install
GF helping clean up the A F/X valve covers
New manifold installed
New 4 barrel installed
Also replaced the kick-down cable from transmission to carb
Seeing the vision
I broke the A F/X valve covers
My torque wrench was broken
Everything is chrome
Bad timing…
Ran out of money
Listed it for sale
I did get it to run but never dialed it in
Also ran into some major electrical issues that I couldn’t fix
How I left the engine bay
My brother got a corvette
Sold and loaded
